It is currently a “buyers market” and therefore the best time to invest in property. If you are a credit worthy buyer you can negotiate a lower selling price, a lower interest rate with the banks and a better commission rate with your estate agent. This can save you thousands.
You can start by doing your own credit check with a credit bureau of your choice. With the new national credit act this information can be made available to you free once every year. It is important because a bad credit situation can stay against your name at the credit bureau for months even if the matter was settled. Don’t wait until the bank declines your bond request because of an unfortunate situation.
